Smart Calculations, Smarter Decisions
Use the free Embed HTML element. No paid app from the Wix App Market needed.
Wix has a built-in Embed HTML element that accepts iframe code. Paste a snippet from the embed library, resize the frame, and publish. The one Wix quirk worth knowing: the embed frame is a fixed size you drag to fit — it will not auto-expand around the calculator, so budget a minute for resizing.
Open the CalcIQ embed library and click Copy on any calculator:
In the Wix Editor click Add Elements (the + on the left), choose Embed Code, then pick Embed HTML. A placeholder box drops onto your page.
Click the placeholder, then Enter Code. In the panel, select the Code option (not "Website address"), paste the snippet, and click Apply.
If you choose "Website address" instead and paste a plain URL, Wix wraps it in its own frame — that works too, but the Code option gives you control over sizing and styling.
Drag the element's handles until the entire calculator is visible without an internal scrollbar. This step matters more on Wix than on other platforms because the frame does not grow to fit its contents.
Then switch to the Mobile Editor (phone icon at the top) and resize again — Wix keeps desktop and mobile layouts independent.
Because the Wix frame is fixed, size the element itself rather than relying on the iframe's height attribute:
| Calculator | Desktop element size | Mobile element size |
|---|---|---|
| Tip, age, BMI | 600 × 500px | 320 × 560px |
| EMI, SIP, FD | 700 × 600px | 320 × 680px |
| Rent vs Buy, Loan Comparison | 800 × 700px | 320 × 750px |
If an internal scrollbar appears, the frame is too small — drag the bottom handle down another 100px. Visitors can still scroll inside the frame, but it looks unfinished.
border:none. Check that Wix's own element border is off in the Design panel.Do I need a paid Wix app?
No. The free built-in Embed HTML element handles iframe embeds. App Market calculator apps are unnecessary for standard financial calculators.
Why is my calculator cut off?
Wix embed frames are a fixed size you drag to fit — they do not auto-expand. Drag the bottom handle down until the whole calculator shows.
Does it work on the free Wix plan?
Yes. Embed HTML is available on free plans. Your site keeps Wix ads and the wixsite.com subdomain until you upgrade, but the calculator works normally.
How do I fix mobile?
Switch to the Mobile Editor via the phone icon and resize the element separately. Desktop changes do not carry over to mobile on Wix.
Is it free and does it track visitors?
Free with no signup or API key. Zero tracking, no cookies — calculations run in the visitor's browser and their numbers never leave their device.
Financial, lifestyle, regional, and utility calculators — all free to embed.
